Transfer of Equity

A transfer of equity is the act of adding or removing someone from the title deeds of a property.

For example, this might need to be done when cohabitation starts, ends or the situation changes.

If there is a mortgage involved, the mortgage will also need to be changed in order for the names to correspond. Similarly, if one owner is buying the share of another owner, thereby removing them from the title deed, changes will need to be made accordingly. This makes the process more complicated, and we can assist you throughout.
