The team has a strong record of success in settling a wide range of disputes

Litigation can be expensive, sometimes very expensive! We are able to advise on what methods of funding are best to use in each individual case.

If the case is suitable, we are willing to accept instructions on the basis of fee arrangements, which depend on the outcome of the case, including conditional fee agreements, also called no-win no-fee agreements. With conditional fee agreements, we are paid hourly rate fees, but only if we win the case. We also act for clients under legal expenses insurance, working closely with their insurers.

We have a strong record of success in the dispute resolution we undertake, and our clients can be assured of having a strong and skilful team in their corner.

Personal Dispute Resolution

“Great Service from everyone I spoke with.”

Joanne Davis

“Battens were recommended by a professional friend and we are very happy that they did. We are more than satisfied with the way Battens, Ceri and Rachael, in particular, took ownership of our land dispute, which they have now recently completed, on our behalf. It couldn’t have gone any better,
From the start, they gave us the confidence that they would represent us as well as, or better than, anyone else could.
They provided good and timely information, throughout, and advice, based on this information and they were always pleasant to work with.
Based on this experience and given similar circumstances, we would be happy to work with them again.”

“I have had dealings with a number of solicitors over the years but Battens stands out for me as the one who inspired the most confidence and in whose hands I have felt safe. I really felt Peter Livingstone, Lynn Voizey and Cate Barnes had my best interests at heart and went above and beyond to support me. They were very efficient in keeping me updated with progress and obtaining very positive outcomes for me and my family. Any queries were dealt with swiftly in a professional and friendly manner. I will be very happy to call Battens again should I need of a solicitor in the future.”
