Southwest law firm Battens Solicitors is delighted to announce the appointment of a new residential and commercial property solicitor to its Castle Cary office.

Associate Solicitor Alison Lloyd is joining the Castle Cary team and brings with her a wealth of experience in commercial and residential property law.

Alison worked as a paralegal at a major City firm before qualifying as a solicitor, and later opening her own practice, in Berkshire. More recently she has worked in Taunton, Ilminster and Frome. Her background in farming before she went into law, gave her a breadth of knowledge that is invaluable to business and personal clients alike.

The Head of Battens’ Castle Cary office, Senior Associate Sally Manning, said, “We are delighted to welcome Alison to Battens as she has the expertise to develop our business in East Somerset, an area which has recently undergone considerable investment and growth. She is highly experienced in her sector, and is known for her down-to-earth, ‘can do’ approach. Just as importantly, she values communication above all else, something her clients really value.”

The Managing Director of Battens, Ceri Stephens, commented, “Alison is a great addition to the Castle Cary office. Handling all manner of properties and small businesses, from parking spaces to castles, in town and country, she has the necessary experience and skillset to provide an outstanding service to our commercial and residential property clients. Alison joins Battens at an exciting time of continued growth and expansion.”
