Leading South-west law firm, Battens Solicitors was celebrating last night as it marked the first year of having an office in the historical town.

The office in West Street, at the heart of Bridport’s thriving business community, has gone from strength to strength with client numbers growing, offering clients a convenient high street location to see solicitors and legal experts face-to-face.

The celebration event was a chance for the Battens team to bring together members of the business community to thank them for their support over the past year and for welcoming them to the high street.

Battens Office Manager for Bridport, Nicola Pugsley said; “The past year in Bridport has been fantastic, everyone has been so kind and welcoming. We have gained lots of new clients who have popped into the office initially for an informal chat which has led to us acting for them in some capacity. Our door is always open, and we are always happy to see new people for a chat to see if we can assist them. The past year has seen many highlights, including winning the Hat Festival best window display and the Christmas Cheer event where we got to welcome existing clients, meet new clients, and raise money for charity all with a glass of mulled wine!”

Senior Associate Chartered Legal Executive, Michelle Green said; “I have lived in Bridport for many years, and I am thrilled to be able to work in this community with so many friends and familiar faces. Bridport has always been a welcoming town and it is so great to now be able to help and advice those who need it. It is also a chance for us as a company to give back to the local community through pledging our support to some many local causes and events, for example sponsoring the Bridport Carnival and Small World events plus a variety of sports team and the local foodbank.”

The Managing Director of Battens Solicitors Ceri Stephens commented; “The opening of the Bridport office was a significant development for the firm which formed part of our strategic plan for growth. I am thrilled to see how much the office has grown in its first year and how the team have been welcomed into the business community.”

The team based at the Bridport office, include specialists in Personal Injury law, Wills, Residential Property law, Wills, Trusts, and Estate administration but the office also acts as a hub where clients can access a suite of outstanding legal services provided by Battens Solicitors.
