SDLT WARNING TO CLIENTS: The current Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) holiday is set to end on 30th June 2021, continuing to apply for properties with purchase prices of £250,000.00 and less until 30th September 2021. We are unable to guarantee that completion of your transaction will occur before the deadline as the conveyancing process relies heavily upon the actions of third parties outside of the control of Battens. You are advised to take this into account when arranging the finances of your transaction and to check the rates of SDLT which will be payable should completion take place after 30th June 2021 here - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/stamp-duty-land-tax-temporary-reduced-rates. Battens will not be held responsible for any additional SDLT due on completion of your purchase, even if your original estimate of costs shows no SDLT payable.
