Robin James

Robin is an Associate Solicitor in the highly respected Family Team in our Yeovil office, specialising in family finance on divorce and separation.

Robin is committed to providing the best possible outcome for her clients, and she strives to make the legal process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Robin prefers a firm but friendly approach, setting out the merits of a case honestly and clearly without “the fluff”.

During Robin’s time with us, she has dealt with a number of high-value cases, including cases involving international properties and investments, cryptocurrency and high-value limited companies.

Robin completed her LLB Law degree at Bournemouth University before completing her postgraduate training with the University of Law, qualifying in December 2023. She joined Battens in May 2024 and was promoted to Associate in July 2026.

Prior to her legal training, Robin worked for Children’s Services for 8 years, engaging with families and adolescents in crisis, coordinating teams of professionals to provide necessary support.

This background has helped Robin to have a holistic approach to clients experiencing complex and multifaceted issues.

Robin focusses exclusively in helping clients with divorce and separation.

Robin is also an active committee member of the Dorset Law Society, and she is the YRes representative for Somerset.
