Promotions Across Family and Dispute Resolution Teams

Battens Solicitors is delighted to announce the promotion of Emily Davies to Senior Associate, and Robin James and Rachael Webber to Associate, effective from 1^st July 2026.

These promotions recognise their ongoing hard work, commitment to their clients, and the positive contributions they continue to make across the firm.

Emily Davies – Senior Associate Solicitor 

Emily joined Battens in 2014 as a trainee solicitor, qualifying into the Family team in 2016. An accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, she provides clear, compassionate advice across a wide range of family matters, often supporting clients in complex and sensitive situations.

Emily has recently supported the expansion of the firm’s Family law services in Bath.

Robin James – Associate Solicitor

Robin joined Battens Solicitors in May 2024 as a newly qualified solicitor and has quickly become a valued member of the Family team.

Specialising in financial matters on divorce and separation, she is known for her straightforward and pragmatic approach. Robin has also played an active role in supporting the law profession through her voluntary roles within the Dorset Law Society and YRes representative.

Rachael Webber – Associate Solicitor

Rachael has been with Battens since 2015 and has built her career within the Dispute Resolution team.

After completing her CILEX qualification, she passed the SQE with distinction and qualified as a solicitor this year. Rachael is recognised for her clear communication and supportive approach and is a key part of the team’s future.
