Battens Solicitors is pleased to announce the promotion of Private Client specialist, Deborah Escott-Watson, to an Associate Solicitor.

The promotion acknowledges Deborah’s hard work and commitment to Battens since her arrival in June 2017, where she rapidly became an invaluable member of the team. Adding to her wealth of knowledge, Deborah has recently become a qualified Trust and Estate practitioner with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Deborah is based in Battens’ Sherborne office and focus is helping clients make or amend Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, advice on probate and estate administration, and Trusts and Estates.

Deborah said: “This has certainly been a very different year, with our excellent Private Client department at Battens really responding to challenges faced by our clients and ensuring a quality service to them in difficult times. Battens have also enabled me to develop professionally with the support they have provided to me to complete my STEP qualification and I am thrilled and grateful to them for this recognition of my commitment to the firm.”

Head of Private Client, Naomi Dyer, said: “Deborah is a real asset to Battens, the promotion to Associate not only recognises her hard work but the rapport she has developed with clients and how much we value this as a company.”
