On Sunday 24th March, 5 members runners represented Battens Solicitors in the Yeovil Half Marathon, raising vital funds for the Battens Charitable Trust.

Battens Solicitors is once again delighted to have supported the event through sponsorship and taking part. The half marathon provides many runners with a chance to raise money for their chosen charity. This is true for the runners from Battens Solicitors who are raising vital money for the Battens Charitable Trust.

The Battens Charitable Trust (BCT) was set up in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties. The trust has so far donated over £500,000 to a wide range of beneficiaries to local schools, youth groups, hospitals and local food banks.

The 5 runners from Battens solicitors were Christine Greengrow, Charlie Rendell, Emma Taylor, Michelle Lane and Jess Leat. All runners put in a fantastic effort.

Director of Battens and BCT Trustee, Naomi Dyer said; “It’s amazing to see staff taking on this Yeovil Half Marathon challenge and for a cause close to everyone’s hearts at Battens. We are very proud of everything the BCT does, supporting so many local causes and initiatives. The charity wouldn’t be able to continue without the help of all the donations that come in, from staff and clients. Well done to everyone who took part in the Yeovil half marathon, especially our 5 runners.”
