Tim Leat

Tim qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 1991 and became a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 1996. He has over 35 years’ experience of dealing with Private Client matters previously being with firms based in Devon and Somerset but his move to our Bridport Office is his first time working in Dorset. Tim was born in Devon and has never had the desire to move away from the South West being an active member of his local community in his home town of Axminster and is looking forward to getting involved in the Bridport Community.

Tim specialises in drafting of Wills, administration of estates, preparing Powers of Attorney and Administration of Elderly Client Affairs as well as tax planning including Deeds of Variation and enjoys spending time to get to know his clients so he can provide the best possible advice tailored to their personal needs. During his career Tim has dealt with many taxing and complex estates and soon came to realise that no two estates are the same as no two families are ever the same. He is dementia trained, friendly and approachable and more than happy to meet with clients either in the office or their home environments wherever they feel most comfortable in.

In addition, Tim is the Administrator of a local Charitable Trust that provides for the needs of disadvantaged young people within Devon.
