Shaz Sarfraz

Shaz is a Lawyer within the Property Dispute Resolution team based across Bath and Yeovil. He is pleased to be part of the Batten's Solicitors team, bringing a wealth of knowledge across a variety of areas including criminal and civil litigation, including personal injury, contract law, Uninsured Loss Recovery, and acting as a solicitor’s agent across the Southwest.

In recent years Shaz has assisted tenants by providing housing advice for charitable organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau and progressing to handling instructions in legal aid funded cases. He has dealt with allegations of under occupation, anti-social behaviour and pressed local authorities to comply with their statutory duties to homeless applicants. He has gained in depth knowledge of section 21 notices and technical arguments that crop up needing to be addressed at court. He accepts cases involving possession proceedings on behalf of both landlords and tenants and assists in other related matters.

Shaz gained an honours degree in law from Kingston University, and also completed post graduate legal studies at BPP Law School. He is now a practising Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
