Shaz is a Chartered Legal Executive within the Property Dispute Resolution Team.

He has an honours degree in law and completed the academic stage of training for barristers.

Shaz has worked in law for over 15 years. In that time, he has gained wide experience in many types of litigation including personal injury, consumer credit, and contract law. In more recent years he has provided advice on housing matters whilst employed by the Citizens Advice Bureau and worked as a legal aid lawyer on landlord and tenant disputes and public law issues involving the local housing authority statutory duties to homeless applicants. In particular, he has dealt with complex cases involving defective notices, under occupation arguments for social housing tenants, and has held weekly surgeries for people on low income facing housing problems.

Shaz deals primarily with residential disputes but also assists more senior colleagues in commercial disputes such as rent arrears recovery when necessary. He also carries out cases involving the Residential Property Tribunal. Shaz drafts possession claims, defences, deeds of surrender, tenancy agreements, witness statements, skeleton arguments and also appears in court representing clients. As well as diagnosing legal solutions to problems, Shaz involves himself in devising practical strategies to legitimately achieve the end goal.
