Gemma is a family lawyer with 15 years’ experience. She is a member of the Law Society Children Law scheme having specialised in children law matters since joining Battens in 2016.
Gemma has a broad range of experience in both private law disputes, where child arrangements need resolution and in public law matters where a local authority are involved. Gemma has dealt with many complex matters often where her clients face the most serious of allegations.
Gemma is also able to advise victims of domestic abuse and can help them seek protective orders under the Family Law Act.
She has a good rapport with her clients and is known for her high standard of client care and will tailor her approach to ensure any particular needs of her clients are met. Gemma provides steadfast and robust advice but is sympathetic in her approach as she acknowledges that her expert guidance is required during a time that is often very stressful and emotional for her clients.
