Divorce and Separation
Our team offers expertise in divorce and separation across all of our offices, and we will be there to guide you through a potentially difficult time.
Divorce is a court process to formally end a marriage. We can give detailed advice about this process, together with related issues, such as financial matters and arrangements for children, which can arise from the divorce. People usually do not need to go to court to get a divorce, although we can advise you if this happens in your case.
Separation is a much less formal process, although we often find that it is sensible for people to record their agreements in writing at an early stage to try and avoid any issues in the future.
Getting advice on these matters can prevent an already stressful time from becoming more complicated, and our team has a real depth of knowledge and experience. We understand that you will often be uncertain or anxious about the future, and we aim to provide you with as much clarity as possible.
