Hannah Brown

Associate Solicitor

Personal Injury

Location: Yeovil

Hannah is an Associate Solicitor in the Personal Injury and Industrial Disease Department. She specialises in a wide variety of claims, including industrial disease, accidents at work, tripping and slipping and road traffic accidents. Hannah has over 20 years of experience of working exclusively in the fields of industrial disease and personal injury and has developed a special interest in claims involving exposure to asbestos.

Hannah has extensive experience of working with and providing support to clients, many of who have often suffered life changing injuries or the loss of a loved one, guiding them through the claims process so that they can obtain the specialist support, treatment and care that they require.

Hannah is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the leading not-for-profit organisation promoting expertise in the practice of personal injury law for the benefit of injured people.

Career Highlights:

  • Successfully representing the Estate of a client who had been exposed to asbestos whilst working in a factory over a number of years in circumstances where the company involved was no longer trading and where Hannah had to undertake investigations into the company and its insurance history in order to obtain a successful result.
  • Successfully representing a client who had been exposed to molten metal fumes causing him to suffer extensive lung damage and to settle that claim in a way that provided for the client’s future changing accommodation needs and for the treatment that he was expected to require in the future.
  • Successfully representing the widow of a gentleman who had passed away due to asbestos related illness in circumstances where exposure had occurred many years before and where liability was initially denied by the insurer but where witness evidence obtained from a colleague of the deceased successfully altered the Defendant’s Solicitors view on liability leading to a settlement.
  • Successfully representing a client who suffered significant head injuries following the collapse of a ceiling in a public venue and achieving a settlement that provided for the client to retrain in a new career to accommodate the injuries that they had suffered as well as to obtain the rehabilitation that they required on a private basis.

Many clients can apply to be represented under conditional fee agreements, so called no-win no-fee agreements, Hannah is experienced in dealing with these agreements and with clients who have legal expenses insurance. Hannah will always advise on the funding arrangement that is in the best interest of each client.
