I joined Battens in December 2015 as an Associate, having worked extensively in family law for over 15 years.

My work covers a range of family work including divorce, financial matters upon divorce and separation, children issues and domestic violence, including emergency injunctions. I can also advise on prenuptial agreements.

I am a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and a member of Resolution. I firmly believe that separating couples should try and resolve the issues between them as amicably as possible, particularly where there are children.  As a trained Collaborative Lawyer I take a collaborative approach when dealing with divorce matters in order to assist and support my clients through what is always a difficult and stressful time.

I can advise on high value financial matters involving farms and other businesses as well as those situations where the assets are limited.

As a member of the Law Society Children Panel I have specialist accreditation enabling me to represent children and Court appointed Guardians in Public Law Proceedings. I also represent parents and other family members in proceedings where the Local Authority has applied for Emergency Protection Orders or Care Orders to remove a child from the care of their parent.

I am pleased to assist and advise parents when they have been notified that the Local Authority are contemplating the issue of proceedings and I will attend Child Protection Conferences to advise and help them through the process.
