I am a solicitor in the Family Department based in our Dorchester office. I focus on working with families where the local authority has become involved and provide advice and assistance where social services have issued, or are going to issue, court proceedings.
The majority of my clients are parents who I represent in court proceedings when the local authority has issued an application for an emergency protection order, care or supervision order or a placement order. I also have a particular interest in assisting grandparents and aunts and uncles when they wish to care for children of their family who may no longer be living with their parents.
As a member of the Law Society Children Panel, I am able to represent children directly or through their CAFCASS guardian.
I started my training with Battens in 2010 and qualified with Battens in September 2012. I have worked in the Family Department for nearly four years. Although I am based in Dorchester, I am more than happy to travel to see my clients at any of our offices, and will often represent my clients in court across the country.
