Rachel Saltonstall

Senior Associate

Agriculture and Rural Property, Partnership Agreements and Succession Planning, Telecommunication and Renewable Energy Leases, Voluntary First Registration

Location: Sherborne, Castle Cary

Rachel acts for a diverse range of clients – private, commercial, public, charitable and agricultural. She also has a wealth of experience in the context of property transactions. This includes sales and acquisitions, all aspects of non-contentious Landlord and Tenant matters, telecommunications and mast leases, and renewable energy projects.

Rachel has been working as a solicitor in the South West for more than 17 years. This breadth of experience means she is well placed to address the ever-expanding needs of our agricultural clients. She has also spent a period at the more academic face of law teaching property law to CILEX students.

Rachel enjoys practising law in a challenging and varied context while acting for a wide client base; working with people to reach desired outcomes is what she enjoys the most about being a solicitor.

Rachel qualified at a City Law Firm in 2003 before joining Battens in September 2004. After a period in-house in the public sector between 2013 and 2019, she re-joined Battens in 2020 as a Senior Associate.
