I am an experienced paralegal working in the Wills, Estates and Trusts Department of Battens and I am based primarily in our Dorchester Office. I have been an employee of Battens for over 25 years, having taken four years out during that time to have a family. I currently work part time, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9.15am – 3.45pm and Wednesdays 9.15am – 12.45pm.
I specialise in private client work, which includes administering estates, (whether that be by way of probate if there is a will, or by way of intestacy if there is no will), general powers of attorney, registration of enduring powers of attorney, preparation and registration of lasting powers of attorney, deputyship orders and matters relating to the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian. In addition, I draft wills and advise on inheritance tax.
The majority of my spare time is spent either running my two older children to various activities and friends or attending playgroups with my youngest. I do occasionally though get some time when I can take a book and sit and read surrounded by the wonderful Dorset countryside.
