I specialise in personal injury and represent claimants in a variety of claims, including those arising from accidents at work, tripping and slipping accidents and road traffic accidents claims, ranging from those which fall to be dealt with under the remit of the MOJ fixed fee portal to more complex fast track claims. I have also had some experience in medical negligence claims, having been seconded to the clinical negligence department here at Battens for a year or so.
Before working in the legal sector, I worked as an assistant to a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital. In addition, I worked locally within Social Services, mostly within the Children & Families Division.
To qualify as a lawyer, I trained with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and am now a Chartered Legal Executive. I chose to specialise in personal injury law and have worked within Battens’ Personal Injury department since 2012.
I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and Somerset CILEx.
Outside of work, music is my passion and I enjoy attending concerts and festivals. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on country and coastal walks with the family Jack Russell, and travelling abroad.
