I am Solicitor within the Residential Conveyancing Team based in the Castle Cary Office. I have experience dealing with sales, purchases, transfer of equity and remortgage transactions.
I gained my degree in Law with Criminology from Southampton Solent University in 2010. I completed the Legal Practice course the following year at the University of the West of England.
Before joining Battens I started my legal career in 2012 as an administrative assistant for a national personal injury firm based in Taunton. I then spent some time with a conveyancing firm based in Dorchester as a paralegal, from there I joined Battens. I joined Battens as a Paralegal in 2014 and completed my Training Contract in 2017.
Having grown up in Yeovil, I have been aware of Battens’ great reputation. Early on in my legal studies I knew I wanted to stay in the South West and to work for an excellent local firm like Battens.
In my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar. I also try to keep fit by running and playing 5 a-side football.
"My wife and I thought that the communications by Jason Carr and Lucy King were excellent, keeping us well informed as steps progressed, as well as answering all our queries along the way swiftly and concisely. We have bought and sold over a dozen properties in our lifetime and this was the best service we have received from any of our solicitors, so will definitely recommend Battens to others wanting conveyancing services."
