After a six-year period of working in the banking industry, I joined the Residential Property Department of Battens in 2005 and, through distance learning and on the job training, subsequently qualified as a licensed conveyancer in 2010.

I carry out conveyancing transactions for clients in relation to residential sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity, working closely with the Wills and Probate Team in respect of probate sales and the Family Team in connection with matrimonial transfers of equity. Due to my length of service with Battens, it is rewarding to now experience repeat business, because clients trust and respect the work I do for them. I therefore represent clients from all over the country, as I’m often reinstructed, even if clients have moved away from the area.

Outside of work, I am also keen for a challenge and have completed a couple of charity fundraising events in recent years: firstly, a trek along the Great Wall of China, raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society and, I also took part in the Paris Marathon in 2015, collecting sponsorship for Whizz Kidz.  I have since ran the London Marathon for "fun" – I think I have the running bug!
