Food for Thought at New Granby Business Breakfast

A new networking forum has been launched for businesses on the Granby Industrial Estate in Weymouth.

Battens Solicitors has joined forces with Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce for the Granby Business Breakfast initiative.

The meetings are being held on the last Tuesday of the month at Weymouth Football Club from 7am to 8.30am.

Breakfast will be free at the inaugural event on Tuesday January 26.

Speakers will include Battens Solicitors Debt Recovery Manager Angela Loveless, who will be giving a brief talk about ‘Practical ways to claim what’s rightfully yours’.

Julie Cleaver, from Popcorn Marketing, will speak about ‘Why Marketing should be a way of life’.

Battens, which opened a new office on the Granby at Oxford Court last summer, is hosting the event with support from the Chamber.

Each month one business will be given the opportunity to promote themselves in a ‘Meet the Neighbours’ slot.   Organisers also want the breakfasts to focus on issues that are relevant to businesses in the area and are urging anyone who wants a specific topic covered to contact them.

The first breakfast on Tuesday January 26 will start at 7am and finish at around 8.30am, and will be free of charge. Future breakfasts will cost £8.
