Breakfast, Business and Networking - Thursday 30 June

A special networking breakfast, known as the Granby Business Breakfast, is being held at the eight-acre Bennetts Water Gardens, Chickerell, at 7am on Thursday 30th June. Hosted by Battens Solicitors, one of the South West’s largest law firms, and open to local businesses and entrepreneurs, speakers at the breakfast will offer an insight into how the current environment is impacting local trade and business growth.

“As Mayor, The Granby Business Breakfast is a great opportunity for me to  link with businesses and talk with them about issues that really matter to them,” said Councillor Mike Jolliffe, Mayor for Chickerell. “I will be talking about new developments in the region and how they will affect local businesses and the wider community, before opening the floor to questions.”

Jon Dobson, Solicitor-Advocate at Battens Solicitors in Granby said:

“Those who attend this networking event will not only leave with a greater understanding of how the law can protect their business, but with some useful contacts, too. We always receive positive feedback from our business breakfasts and we are looking forward to welcoming business executives to this event at the stunning Water Gardens.”

As well as hearing from guest speakers and indulging in a delicious continental breakfast, attendees will also be able to network with local, like-minded business professionals and explore the grounds of the celebrated Water Gardens - renowned for its collection of more than 140 varieties of water lilies and its beautiful Monet-style bridge.

The event was previously held at Weymouth Football Club, but has relocated to Bennetts Water Gardens so attendees can enjoy the Gardens’ lilies in full bloom. Tickets cost £8.
