Battens Sponsors Taste of Dorset Awards 2015
Leading law firm Battens Solicitors is again supporting one of the South's most prestigious food and drink awards.
The annual Taste of Dorset competition invites top chefs, restaurants, pubs and other food outlets to compete for honours across a wide range of categories.
Battens, which has offices in Sherborne, Dorchester, Weymouth, Yeovil and London, is sponsoring the Best Independent Tea Room or Café category in the 2015 awards.
Naomi Dyer, Sherborne-based solicitor in Battens' Wills, Estates and Trusts Department, said the firm was proud to continue the support it has given to Taste of Dorset in previous years.
Naomi said: "Our origins and long heritage are bound up with the agricultural and business worlds in both Dorset and Somerset.
"We work hand in glove with many local companies who are involved in the food industry from farmers to restaurateurs.
"The Best Independent Tea Room or Café recognises quality of service as well as strong links with local suppliers and loyal customers.
"As a leading local company and law firm, we're committed to supporting businesses and the community so we were particularly pleased to be able to sponsor this category this year.
"We wish all of the entrants the very best of luck."
Battens has sponsored the Best Dining Pub category over recent years. Last year the winner was the Chetnole Inn.
