8:30am-5pm – Monday-Friday

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our facilities team as a Facilities apprentice.

Skills required:

  • IT Literate
  • Happy talking to people of all levels face to face and over the telephone.
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Duties will include:

  • Post, incoming and outgoing.
  • Reception
  • Logging incidents, posting/distributing health, and safety notices, checking fire extinguishers, fire alarms, confirming that checks have been carried out, use of PPE.
  • Setting up of meeting rooms
  • Minor repairs and maintenance
  • Such as basic plumbing
  • Changing toners and batteries
  • Replenishing stationery
  • Sweeping
  • Building maintenance
  • Database work, scanning and photocopying.

What does a facilities apprenticeship cover?

  • Health and safety at work
  • SOPs – permits, contractor risk assessments, site instructions
  • Collaboration with other colleagues – cleaning, engineers, reception
  • Stock management
  • Functioning of machinery and equipment
  • Identifying and reporting on opportunities for improvement – health and safety, green initiative, Costs etc.
  • ID checks and security checks
  • Standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Meeting and greeting of visitors.
  • Events organisation, reception services, room set ups.
  • Carry out inspections of premises and facilities.
