Civil Litigation Team

I am a Senior Assistant Solicitor in the Civil Litigation Team specialising primarily in personal injury claims. I advise Claimants on all aspects of injury litigation, including claims for injuries arising from accidents at work, road traffic accidents and accidents in public places. In addition, I handle a variety of general civil disputes ranging from inheritance claims to contract disputes.

I rejoined Battens in June 2007, having completed my training contract here back in 2001. Upon qualifying, I spent 5½ years working for two well known local firms as part of a team specialising in Defendant Personal Injury/Insurance Law and advising insurance companies, local authorities and self-insureds on all aspects of defending injury litigation before returning to Battens.

I decided to return to Battens both to widen my expertise in dealing with general civil litigation but also to put my experience on the other side of the fence to good use in giving realistic advice to injured Claimants and obtaining for them the best results possible.

Whilst the working ethos and challenging personal goals expected by Battens are similar to those in the firms I have previously worked for, what I particularly enjoy about working for Battens is the friendly and family feel of the firm generally which makes every employee from director down to office junior feel appreciated and motivated to do their bit to make the firm a success.
