Taxation of Trusts
This service is offered by our Tax Department.
A trust is a legal arrangement where assets are placed in trust for the benefit of beneficiaries. Trustees are responsible for managing the trust and this includes meeting the tax obligations and liabilities. Understanding the tax rules for trusts can be very difficult. Battens have extensive knowledge in this area. We do not charge for our initial meeting/telephone call with you and we can provide a fixed fee quotation for our advice.
Areas that we cover include:
- Self Assessment Tax Returns for Trusts
- Income Tax for Trusts
- Capital Gains Tax for Trusts
- Tax consequences of income and capital distributions from Trusts
- Registering the Trust with HM Revenue and Customs
- Inheritance Tax exit charge and ten year anniversary charge
