  Phil joined Battens in 2007, after training and working in local government and a specialist firm in Taunton.

  He has in-depth experience of planning and highways issues. He acts for private individuals, businesses and local authorities.

  Phil is a member of the Law Society's specialist planning panel. He has acted as advocate at planning inquiries, rights of ways inquiries and compulsory purchase inquiries.

  He also advises on liquor and entertainment licensing.
