  Kate joined Battens Solicitors in Sept 2000 as a Trainee Solicitor. Once qualified, she joined Veitch Penny Solicitors in Exeter and specialised in Defendant Personal Injury and Insurance Law. From there she joined Bond Pearce Solicitors in Bristol and worked as part of their Liability Claims team.

  Kate rejoined Battens in June 2007 as a Senior Assistant Solicitor, specialising in Personal Injury and general Civil Litigation.

  As a Personal Injury specialist, Kate advises Claimants on all aspects of injury litigation, including injuries arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work and in public places.

  With her extensive Defendant experience, Kate can provide invaluable and realistic advice to Claimants as to whether a claim has reasonable prospects of success and should therefore be pursued. Likewise, her experience enables her to provide a realistic assessment of the likely level of damages, taking account of counter arguments likely to be advanced by insurance companies.

  Kate is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). When she is not working, Kate enjoys playing the oboe and piano and bolstering the alto section of the Somerset Chamber Choir.
