  David first joined Battens in 1969 as a personal assistant to the then Senior Partner, Henry Batten, where he gained considerable experience in all forms of non-contentious law and, in particular, residential, commercial and agricultural law.

  David qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1976 and over the years has built up a substantial list of local and national clients, both personal and commercial and to include charities.

  He received nationwide recognition as the President of ILEX in 1992 and 1993 and became very involved in law reform having sat on and chaired many committees responding to the Law Commission and other governmental department's papers on proposed changes in the law and practices.

  David's specialism is in all aspects of property law, particularly developments, commercial or residential, to include partition of legal estates, site assembly and plot sales. He is also part of our Agricultural Team.
