Yeovil Business Breakfast - The British Economy on a Knife Edge

As the Eurozone's debt crisis rages unresolved, the UK finds itself at risk of a double-dip recession.

Mark Berrisford-Smith of HSBC Bank plc will be considering what might get the recovery back on track and whether the UK is merely a bystander to be buffeted by events in the Eurozone, or is there more that can be done which will make a lasting difference?

Mark studied Economics at Sussex and London Universities and is the Senior Economist in the Business Economics Unit at HSBC Bank plc. He is responsible for advising the bank and its customers on developments in the UK and global economies, and the performance of regions and key industry sectors. He speaks regularly at conferences and seminars.

We will provide time for questions and aim to conclude by 9.30am.
