We are delighted to be part of the Open4Business "Winning Business" Festival and invite you to our morning business seminar being held by Battens Solicitors, accountants Albert Goodman and Lloyds TSB.

As well as meeting other local businesses, this is an opportunity to consider ways of securing your business for the future.

David Morton, Senior Manager Commercial, Lloyds TSB Dorchester Group, will discuss how Lloyds is helping businesses be successful in difficult times, explain how to present a proposal to a lender, and examine the results of surveys into the economy among business owners.

Having a lean organisation with a good balance sheet and healthy cashflow enables businesses to react quickly to the ever-changing opportunities and market conditions in the current economic climate. Richard Bugler, Partner at Albert Goodman CBH Chartered Accountants, will talk about the practical operational aspects of running a successful business including corporate governance as well as generating and using high quality, up to date financial and management information to deal with future challenges.

Cloud computing is everywhere, yet many people are hugely involved without realising it. Where does this leave them and their business - what are the legal implications of being in the cloud and how can they be understood better? Where exactly is your data? Peter Livingstone, Director at Battens Solicitors, will look at the issues and point to the best paths to follow in this complex technological and legal landscape.

We will also be holding a Q&A session with some potential 2016 Olympian Local Heroes who are supported by Lloyds TSB, via Sport Aid Grants and aim to be winners of the future.

We will provide a buffet lunch at 1pm.
